As a non-profit organization, Ascension of Christ Lutheran Church is always looking for ways to help fund our operations without putting a large burden on our families and without increasing our administrative costs. Recently, we took advantage of an opportunity to participate in a program offered by Meijer. We are now enrolled in Meijer Community Rewards (sm).

This program allows us to raise funds rather smoothly and painlessly, and it has the potential to earn a substantial sum if we work together collectively. Once you complete the initial sign-up process, our organization will automatically start earning money whenever you shop at Meijer, 24/7/365. For this reason, we need your help. We need you to make what may appear to be an insignificant amount of individual contributions become a significant group contribution.

Here’s how it works:

1. You apply for a Meijer Guest Card, indication that you want to support Ascension of Christ Lutheran Church. There is no cost involved, and the card can be carried on a key ring.
2. You simply shop at Meijer and scan your Meijer Guest Card at the register. The Guest Card does NOT affect the method of payment for your purchases.
3. Ascension of Christ Lutheran Church will receive a percentage of your purchase totals every month and an email with the amount and list of participating members.

You earn the contribution to our organization by shopping at Meijer. These contributions cost you nothing and the more your shop, the more you earn. Monthly rewards start after the first $100 in purchases and end at $2000 each month.

How do you sign up?

1. You can sign up for the Meijer Guest Card by mail or on-line. We have hard-copy applications available for those who prefer mailing. However, if you have computer access to the internet, signing up on-line is easier and less time consuming.
2. To sign up on-line, go to http://www.meijer.com/rewards.
3. Click on the link ‘Sign up on-line’. You will find it on the right hand side of the screen near the top.
4. Choose Meijer Guest Card.
5. Follow the screen instructions and complete the form. Be sure to choose option A, School or Church Code(s) and type in the 6-digit code for Ascension of Christ Lutheran Church. Our Meijer ID is 650216. If you forget, you can look it up by clicking on the link ‘Find My School or Church Code(s)’ and searching for Ascension of Christ Lutheran Church. Our zip code is 48025.

This program can make a wonderful difference for us. Please encourage your family, friends and relatives to sign-up for a Meijer Guest Card and support our organization. Remember: the larger the membership, the more contributions our organization will receive. Recall the words of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians, “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”
